In order to effectively treat this malignant social disease of armored humans its symptoms must first be recognized as existing and operating simultaneously between socio-political forces of the political left and the right and that it can exist on all social levels from the individual to national and international levels of organization. For example, it is often not possible to recognize the destructive consequences taking place between a plague-ridden political leader and the masses of people who are supporting and being led by him. The reason for this is that the relationship between the plague leader and the plague-ridden masses, a pathological, dynamic one of attractive opposition, is not recognized. In fact, both are component social symptoms of the disease, emotional plague. One force cannot exist without the operation of the other. Today, the social consequence of this opposing, political relationship is bringing down and will eventually destroy the once greatness of this nation. Bringing politics into social problems of armored humans is the latest defensive symptom of ocularly armored people’s manuver at distracting themselves by looking outward through their defensive ideologies and thereby avoiding looking inward to face their personal problems. With the help of the news media, this brings the emotional plague through political activity to new heights into public life.
Politics Can Never Be the Answer to Social Problems
The destructiveness that occurred in our Nation’s Capital on January 6, 2021 has shown conclusively that social problems can never be addressed through political means. As the result of the still unrecognized transformation of American society from authoritarian to anti-authoritarian, the functional relationship of the components of the two party system has changed from attractive opposition to antagonistic opposition. This means that it is not possible for politicians belonging to the Democratic and the Republican Parties to work together for the well being of America because of the irreconcilable ideologically based, political differences between them. In general, the Democratic Party seems to be pro-American but it is covertly opposed to the principles that America has traditionally stood for while the Republican Party is still basically pro-American.
What probably happened to cause the chaos and mayhem was that an originally peaceful movement of people protesting the 2020 election results became infiltrated by the emotional plague, reactionary groups from the political extreme right and radical groups from the political extreme left. However, the emotional plague attack that occurred on that day is only part of the picture. It is people’s unawareness that keeps them from having a deeper understanding of what happened.
Today, the emotional plague from the political left is actively at work politicizing almost every area of human life. However, all partisan political involvement, not just the censorship by the media that is happening from the left, is essentially people’s defensive function originating from their armor that prevents them from looking inward and seeing that the outwardly directed socio-political ideologies have nothing to do with the bio-emotional origin of their personal problems.
Looking outward to political leaders for help is only one of many ways that armored people seek mystical solutions for their personal, emotionally-based problems. It is functionally identical to people’s seeking salvation from religious saviors.
If social situations could be observed the way they are, that is, functionally and not mystically, it would be possible to separate the rational, legitimate function of politics from people’s irrational expectations from politics and from their politicians.
The problem is not that it it is either the left or the right. It is that it is neither left nor right.

On the Leftist Ideologues’ Rewriting America’s History
On an individual level, growing up in an armored, family environment will render the child in various degrees out of touch – clueless – with himself and with his historical past. In psychiatry, this process is called repression.
On a social level, leftist ideologues’ rewriting America’s history by distorting it according to their pre-existing views about the ways things should be in our society, amounts to repression on a mass scale. It is intended to wipe out people’s contact with themselves and with the memory of their nation’s historical past. Systematically tearing down historical statues by leftist ideologues is another example of social repression.
These are some of the destructive manifestations of the emotional plague from the political left. They are being permitted and supported in today’s anti-authoritarian society by many people who have the authority for maintaining law and order but do not have the ability to exercise it by exposing the plague. The effect on the mindless public is that they are becoming even more out of touch with themselves and with their sense of loyalty and patriotism to America. It places Americans at the mercy of far left ideologues who will use the power generated by the vacuum that is created by the absence of authority to manipulate people’s lives and promise them a bright, better, new, communist future for America. This will be provided by the Democratic Party (aka CPUSA), members who were duly elected to political power by the clueless American people themselves.
In summary: The emotional plague operates to destroy America by destroying American people’s contact with themselves. This is how the plague takes the current anti-authoritarian transformation of American society to its next level, into a communist state. The tragedy is that the clueless American public is becoming even more clueless by the emotional plague’s activity from the political left and it is happening in front of their own eyes.
The Political Agenda of the Far Left
Because all people are armored, the components of society as a whole had to armor in order for it to function. Some examples of these necessary forms of armored social organizations are the police, the military and the various governmental agencies that “regulate” the nation and its economy.
The function of the radical left is to destroy America. Its mode of operation can be understood in its agenda for America, to attack and destroy these necessary forms of social armor. Another method of attack by them is to encourage people to engage in civil disobedience against America and to foment chaos whenever possible. Rationalized as political justice, its goal is to eliminate civility and increase social anxiety. These tactics are designed to mobilize, and bring to the social surface, destructive impulses contained in the American people’s secondary layer. The effect is to destroy the existing American society and its government, take control of it and replace it with another form of social organization that controls the life of its people. Their political agenda is unopposed because of the still unrecognized operation of the emotional plague.
The Left’s Use of Human Guilt as a Political Weapon
A function of Christianity was to deal with the problem of human guilt. From a bio-psychiatric perspective, neurotic guilt arises from the perception of destructive emotions held in people’s muscular armor. Christianity’s solution was the central tenet: Christ died for your sins. In belief in Christ the savior and in the practice of confession of one’s sins to a Catholic priest, people were temporarily relieved of their chronic sense of guilt by having their emotions anchored on their faith in Christ, the Redeemer.
With the current breakdown of Christianity’s influence worldwide and the anti-authoritarian transformation of Western civilization’s social order, people’s armor has shifted from the musculature to the ocular segment. As a result, their guilt becomes manifested as free-floating anxiety and it can easily be turned into a major political force with destructive consequences. Enter leftist political ideologues and revisionist historians with their obsession to rewrite America’s history. People’s unresolved feelings of guilt are being manipulated by these ideologists to blame present-day Americans for their ancestor’s past sins, i.e. the practice of slavery. This ploy functions as a political weapon and a blatant emotional plague attack on the living designed to destroy the American nation.
The Problem of People’s”Getting” the Emotional Plague
People’s recognizing the existence and function of the emotional plague is the most important social problem facing humanity today. Without this awareness nothing in people’s social lives can possibly change for the better. The problem is that the plague is too deeply imbedded in the masses of people’s armored structures, their unconscious, for people to be aware of its existence. Their cluelessness is why one must consistently and patiently stay on the social surface of its day-to-day, pathological manifestations in social and political life before it can be possible for people to get it. These are the epidemic “symptoms” of the plague. By doing so, the plague will eventually come to the surface of some people’s awareness. This process of dealing with the plague on a social level is functionally identical to the work of the medical orgonomist performing character analysis on an individual level.
The Strategy of the Emotional Plague
To understand what is currently happening in today’s world, recognizing the existence and operation of the emotional plague is necessary. Without this understanding nothing that is happening can make any sense. The strategy of the plague is to generate confusion and immobilization in its victims. For example, the Black Lives Matter and the Antifa movements generate confusion by pretending to be for their stated goals of caring for blacks and opposing fascism, core functions of life. But, in fact, their true motive is exactly the opposite, to organize and use these political movements as weapons to destroy what still remains healthy in American society .
An understanding of the three layers of the bio-psychic apparatus is also necessary. The emotional plague always seems to be operating from people’s biological core. This is how the plague legitimizes itself as genuine. But it originates and is expressed through the social surface from people’s destructive middle layer.
The Three Sacred Cows, Then and Now
In the past authoritarian era prior to around 1960, a person’s ideas on sexual matters, religion and politics were the three sacred cows. People’s social armor was intact and they were nobody’s business. In today’s anti-authoritarian era, because of the breakthrough of people’s destructive secondary layer to the social surface and with the shift of the social mainstream to the far left of political center, they have become everybody’s business.
The leftward shift was a symptom of the emotional plague’s continued invasiveness, through political activity, into society as more people have been taught to believe in political answers to social problems that have nothing to do with them. The upshot is that today, with Biden’s election as President and the far left media supporting him, the emotional plague from the far left is within reach of gaining political control of America.
On Recognizing the Emotional Plague’s Strategy
A functional understanding of the dynamics of emotional plague character’s social behavior is necessary before effectively dealing with it. In an earlier blog (9/25), fomenting mindless social change was shown to be the emotional plague’s weapon of choice. Although generally true, this does not provide an understanding of the specific methods that the plague has at its disposal. To understand and deal with them, knowledge of the psychopathology of groups is necessary.
A strategy of the plague is to set up an antagonistic, sadomasochistic relationship between different groups of people and exploit it. To generate social tension and conflict between blacks and whites, for example, leftist radicals function as provocateurs by politicizing feelings of victimization and resentment and fomenting hatred of whites by blacks. This predictably leads to destructive social action on the part of some blacks through rioting, looting, and a temporary reaction of force on the part of the police that accomplishes nothing in the long run.
The leftist provocateurs actions must first be identified and exposed as criminal acts of the emotional plague before these flames of racial discord can be permanently put out. But before this can happen, people have to begin thinking in a different way, functional thinking, that corresponds to the way things function.
The Emotional Plague’s Invasion into Psychiatry
Today’s degradation of psychiatric practice was another destructive consequence of the emotional plague that first started with Freud’s opposition to Reich’s attempt to extend his psychoanalytic theories of the libido and the neurosis into the social realm. This rift between them ended Reich’s association in the psychoanalytic movement and led to the development of Reich’s work into sociology (“The Mass Psychology of Fascism”) and into biology with the discovery of biological orgone energy.
With no natural scientific foundation to support it, psychoanalysis became vulnerable to attack by the emotional plague. In the 1960s, Freud’s functional understanding of psychiatric disorders was thrown out and the entire specialty of psychiatry became transformed into a mechanistic, drug-oriented system of therapy. Today, all that is required in psychiatric treatment is to arrive at a symptom-based diagnostic – DSM -system for the patient’s condition and the right quantity of the drug needed for each psychiatric disorder.
As a result, psychiatrists have abandoned responsibility for the patient’s health to the lay public. In order to have an understanding of the function that lay people can have in the mental health field, the existence of social orgonomy and the distinction between the individual and social realms of human illness is necessary. Non-physicians can be trained to practice social orgonomy, which deals with the individuals problems in the social realm, but they cannot become qualified to practice psychiatry which is in the biological realm.
According to an article in The Wall Street Journal (October 5, 2020), “more (lay) people are becoming therapists” … as … “more people (are) seeking out mental health help”. Antioch College, for example, has had a 200% increase in applicants in its clinical psychology program.
The qualitative component of psychiatric treatment has been relegated to lay therapists who have little, if any, understanding of the bio-emotional basis underlying psychiatric illnesses. They are simply not equipped with the necessary medical knowledge and experience to to their work. This situation is another consequence of the emotional plague.
Allowing lay people to treat psychiatric problems which are in the medical realm is one more destructive consequence resulting from the anti-authoritarian transformation of society that is destroying all forms of social authority including not just that of the psychiatrist.
