The Emotional Plague’s invasion and destruction of medical practice

These are the steps to take:

  1. In psychiatry, destroy the reputation of its standard bearer, Sigmund Freud and eliminate contact between doctor and patient, the doctor-patient relationship. Replace it with psychopharmacological agents as the treatment of choice.
  2. In medicine, eliminate contact between doctor and patient and replace it with mindless, robotically trained “specialists” to be in charge of patients care and lives.

In one stroke, by eliminating the physicians opportunity to have contact with his patients, the emotional plague operating in sick humans is destroying the life of the medical profession and, to make matters worse, both the masses of the patient population and the medical professionals are too clueless to see the destructiveness that is happening.

The Coronavirus and the Emotional Plague: Further Thoughts.

The destructive social effects of the coronavirus and the emotional plague are identical. Both are medical conditions that can be highly infectious and invasive. The virus destroys life of the individual and the plague destroys life of groups of people, society. Both destroy life by generating confusion, immobilization and isolation in its victims. For example, people’s confusion and anxiety about how to deal with the epidemic generates opposing views and to political chaos, the emotional plague.

The Coronavirus and the Emotional Plague: II

People’s contactless state, prevents them from having a sense of the plague’s existence unless it erupts as an epidemic and is evidenced in a physical manifestation, such as a virus, for example.

In his novel, “The Plague” (1947), Albert Camus excellently describes a fictional account of the appearance and disappearance of an epidemic of a pestilence in an Algerian City and people’s characteristic ways of responding to it. In it, there is a striking resemblance between his fictional account and what is happening today with the coronavirus. Then as now, once the wave of the epidemic runs its course, it will be considered to be over and people will again go about their business as usual as if nothing ever happened. And the emotional plague will continue with its daily destructiveness on humanity as before.

Nothing will have been learned from what happened and nothing will have changed for the better.

The Coronavirus and the Emotional Plague

In order to understand what is happening in fascist regimes like Communist China, knowledge of the layering of the bio-psychic apparatus is essential. Fascist regimes function to maintain their own survival by operating entirely from their destructive, secondary layer and repressing the lives of the people they govern. They are fundamentally opposed to protecting every one of the core functions of their inhabitant’s lives. This identifies the character structure of people governing these nations as emotional plague characters.

With this information, it is possible to raise the following questions: Regarding the coronavirus pandemic, how can the Chinese Government consisting of a regime that survives on total repression of its population be genuinely concerned in protecting the biological core functions of its citizenry? How can these leaders be trusted to provide reliable medical information to other nations regarding the coronavirus epidemic that originated in and was allowed to spread through their own country when they actively avoided addressing it to prevent its invasion when first detected?

What is the functional relationship between communism and the coronavirus? Communism, a deadly disease (the emotional plague) in the bio-social realm, is functionally identical to the coronavirus, a deadly disease in the individual, biological realm.

The Power of Distancing.

Our society is a bio-social system that has been in a chronic state of over- expansion. Distancing of the population is a sign of bio-physical contraction. It is a defensive state in which people stay away from one another and function more in themselves. Encouraging social distancing is one of the ways that the threat of the coronavirus is currently being treated to prevent the spread of the contagion from one person to another.

In the chronically expanded social state that existed in America prior to the coronavirus pandemic, people were operating primarily from their social surface and were more out of touch with themselves and with their biological core than ever before in recent history. Social distancing can have the effect of bringing people into better contact with themselves. It can also have the effect of depriving them of their daily distractions and typical ways of maintaining substitute contact with others thereby increasing anxiety and levels of contactlessness in themselves.

People’s tendency to politicize any social situation is ever-present. Some are already questioning the medical necessity of keeping their social distance. The long term economic and bio-social effects of distancing on people’s lives and of its induced bio-physical contraction at this time of social crisis remains to be seen.

Are People Ready to Give Up the Two-Party System?

The American two-party system has become extinct and most people actually think that it still exists. It is another symptom of people’s cluelessness, of not seeing things as they are. To make things worse, because they do not think functionally they have no way of understanding what is happening in the world, in general, and why there is no longer a two-party system, in particular.

The two-party political system in America existed because the opposing party members were strongly pro-American and in a relationship of attractive opposition. This meant that although they had their political differences they were able to function together as an organization and accomplish their political responsibilities.

It is clear from what is happening in politics today that this is no longer the case. Both groups are divided along ideological lines according to what they believe are in the best interests of America and Americans. Today’s politicians are representing two entirely different populations, those belonging ideologically on the political left and on the right. Their ideological beliefs have become incompatible and, therefore, it is no longer possible for them to work together in a productive fashion. As a result, the functional relationship of the two-party system has changed into one of antagonistic opposition.

The political system seems to be working now because there is a populist, pro-American president who has bi-partisan support. Because the two-party system has broken down, the populist movement seems to be what is in store for American political life after Trump. What will happen to America when another populist president comes along who is not pro-American remains to be seen.

Nations Are Bio-social Systems

Nations are bio-social systems. Like individual organisms, they pulsate by expanding and contracting. When not threatened by external danger, they expand. When threatened, they contract. The coronavirus is a threat to the American Nation and, as a response, it has contracted socially and economically. The social response to the coronavirus is a rise in mass anxiety and social retreat. The economic response is a biophysical contraction accompanied by a state of fear and a sharp reduction in the economic activity.

Because of the pre-existing social and economic overly-expanded state of America, the public’s reaction to the coronavirus threat is greatly exaggerated. People are overly anxious and, as a result, have a need to understand what is happening and to be comforted. They look for answers from the government that are dependent on their individual character structures. Because it is impossible to know what will happen in the future, some overreact to the point of panic. To relieve their panic people function as groups and become more out of touch with themselves.

What is most important in times of crisis is to focus on and maintain one’s biological work function, whatever it is.

On The Government’s Handling of The Coronavirus

In Social Orgonomy, knowledge of the three layers of the human bio-psychic apparatus is indispensable. These are the biological core, the destructive secondary layer and the superficial layer or facade. A natural function of government is to protect the lives of it’s citizens from harm. Therefore, the government’s current handling of the coronavirus threat is a necessary, natural (core) function.

People’s confusion about the natural functions of human life, in particular, and of government, in general, results in the invasion of the emotional plague into the social arena. In particular, the plague thrives on the public’s confusion over the difference between natural drives from the biological core and the secondary drives from the destructive, secondary or middle layer.

This confusion allows every possible human need, natural or pathological, to be included as a natural right that requires protection by the government. This is a way of armored thinking that allows the plague from the political left in the form of bureaucracy to infest and become institutionalized in a government ready to “protect” the people.

The Breakdown of Responsibility in Anti-authoritarian Society

In the past authoritarian society (prior to around 1960) the idea of people being responsible for themselves was clear. People became responsible around the legal age of 18. At this time young people became ready to work for a living, learn a trade or get a degree of some kind, marry, start having families of their own, and vote. Young men became eligible to serve in the armed forces to protect their country etc. At 18 years of age young people were considered to be and were treated as adults.

With the destruction of the authoritarian social order there has been a breakdown of individual responsibility. In today’s anti-authoritarian society with the breakdown of the authoritarian family and of social order, there is widespread confusion about what age young people are considered to be responsible adults. Many 18-year-olds today have not yet reached a state of emotional maturity where they can be considered responsible adults capable of taking care of themselves and having a family. They often remain at an arrested state of emotional development well into their third and fourth decade.

Yet, even as prep-school and college students they are led to believe that they have the right to tell their teachers and professors what their curricula should be and to know what is best for others in society. The anti-authoritarian educators are an extension of the same mental state as the parents of these young people. Both behave destructively and irresponsibly in their respective roles as educators and parents. They are biophysically incapable of bringing anything in terms of guidance and experience from the past for the benefit of the younger generation.

The confusion regarding the problem of responsibility in today’s anti-authoritarian society is not just another way of eradicating human history. It is a form of psychic repression manifesting in the social realm and another symptom of the emotional plague. Take away the past and young people have no way of orienting themselves to having any importance and meaning to their lives. Their cluelessness places them at the mercy of emotional plague, leftist political ideologues to be in control of directing their lives.

What’s Really Happening in Politics Today

In order to understand what’s happening in today’s politics one has to step outside people’s conventional ways of thinking and be able to see and think functionally. Also required is knowledge of the cornerstones of social orgonomy: the three layers of the bio-psychic apparatus, the emotional plague, socio-political characterology and the transformation of society from authoritarian to anti-authoritarian.

The authoritarian society that existed prior to around 1960 was well ordered. Americans on the political left and the right were able to live harmoniously from their social surface in a relationship of attractive opposition. Operating from their facade, Democrats and Republicans were able to work together and get their political work accomplished. Both sides had in common that they were strongly pro-American.

The breakdown of the authoritarian social order and the anti-authoritarian transformation were the result of changes in the kind of armor in the average individual that existed in the past authoritarian social order. There was a shift of people’s biological armor from their bodies (muscular armor) to their brain (ocular armor). This shift in individual armor resulted in a shift in the political mainstream to the political left of center during the troubled decades of the 1960s. This was when the breakdown of the Two Party system first became apparent. It was the result of the infestation of anti-American, leftist radicals – the emotional plague – into the Democratic Party and the breakthrough of people’s destructive secondary layer to the political surface

Today, the relationship between the Democratic and Republican Party is one of antagonistic opposition. There is no longer any way that the two parties can work together. People on the political, radical left are actively and aggressively doing whatever they can to destroy what still remains vital in America and people on the political right are operating in reaction to oppose these destructive political actions.

This struggle for the preservation of American society is happening in front of everyone’s eyes and only a few people are able to see the danger that is facing our Nation.
