The Emotional Plague at the Southern Border

People on the political left are united in their efforts to oppose each and every one of President Trump’s decisions and actions. What matters more to them are the expressions of their varying degrees of hatred toward the President and, at the same time defending their political source of power over people and not what is important for safeguarding the American nation.

Regarding immigration, the left’s effectiveness of their oppositional strategy is to create public confusion about how to deal with the problem of illegal immigration and to paralyze the Nation’s efforts to defend itself by undermining and eliminating it’s borders. A typical tactic of the emotional plague of armored humans on the political extreme left, the source of their destructiveness comes from their ability to enlist the support of the masses of true liberals further to their right.

The true liberal functions as the carrier of this manifestation of the plague and provides the force behind the leftist ideologues plague characters on his left. The source of the true liberal’s political ideology is in his enormous amount of free-floating guilt (conscience anxiety) that continually needs relief by attaching to social causes. His political ideology originates from his not having a religion to absorb his chronic, pervasive feelings of guilt. The image of poor, suffering immigrants demanding entrance at our southern border provided by the media is exactly what is needed for him to feel the urge to ” do something” through political action so that his conscience and feelings of guilt, can be atoned.

The public spectacle of this moral drama is the background that serves to ignore any consideration about what is in the best interests of Americans and their nation.

The Politicization of Everyone

In today’s increasingly polarized American society, the public is undergoing a massive process of indoctrination by mainstream leftist ideologues with the help of the media to become politicized. This is called identity politics, the artificial fragmentation of people into antagonistic groups organized along often imagined ethnic, racial and sexual categories.

On the surface, people’s actions appear to be about addressing social problems but their effect is, in fact, the opposite. They function as an evasion to avoid recognition of the underlying conflictual forces within them. People’s emotionally based problems – the breakdown of the family and society, racism, abortion, school shootings, drugs, poverty etc. – are displaced onto and acted out in the political arena on all social levels.

At the same time, functions that are the real responsibility of politicians including maintaining America’s military strength, border control and immigration are systematically ignored. Manifestation of the emotional plague, these politically motivated actions and inactions by leftist extremists are tearing America apart.

Welcome to the World of Islam

As long as the authoritarian social order in the Western World was intact (prior to around 1960), the Muslim world in the Mideast remained at peace with itself and lived harmoniously with the Non-Muslim world.

The Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 brought this to an end as the godless ideology of communism encountered the devoutly religious, strictly authoritarian Muslim world. American leaders entered into a quasi military alliance with Muslim Afghan leaders, like Osama bin Laden, who was believed at the time to be friendly toward America, for the purpose of ridding the country of the Soviets. America’s invasion of Iraq with the objective of eliminating the tyrant, Saddam Hussein, was another military operation that exacerbated social unrest of Mideast countries.

However, more fundamental than these military incursions was the cultural invasion by Western anti-authoritarian life and the impact that it had on people’s lives in the Mideast. Today’s “anything goes” Western society functions as a chronic, emotional irritant to the sexually repressed people of the Muslim population. To make matters worse, people in the West are clueless about the effect that their unconstrained, “free” ways of living have on repressed cultures worldwide. Therefore, without an understanding of the reasons for the transformation of Western society it is impossible to know what is currently happening in the Mideast and why the cultural clash between the two worlds had to happen.

In the West, the shift of the socio-political spectrum to the left resulted in the breakdown of social order and it’s traditional ways of living, particularly in the loosening of its sexual mores. This leftward shift gradually spread and triggered social unrest globally.

The majority of people in the Muslim World belong characterologically in varying degrees to the far right of center. Therefore, the permissive, anti-authoritarian attitudes of Western people on the political left was more intolerable, provocative and shocking to the Muslim people than it was even to other conservative Westerners.

The anti-authoritarian transformation also had a powerful destabilizing effect on the politics of Islamic nations. In some countries (Egypt and Libya), thanks to the Arab Spring, rigid authoritarian governments were toppled domino-like only to be replaced by new regimes of the same kind or worse, while in others (Syria and Iran) the states that had been created during the authoritarian, Colonial period were reorganized largely according to totalitarian lines.
The widespread undoing of Muslim societies in the Mideast brought a flood of Arab immigrants into Europe and America many of whom came from broken homes. The social turmoil and anxiety in Western countries resulting from this forced migration was not simply “the consequence of a civilization’s failure to overcome or accommodate the forces of modernity.”

The key to knowing what happened including the problem of Islamic terrorism is to first have an understanding of the participant’s specific socio-political character structures.
Leftist provocateurs in European countries inflamed a highly volatile situation by insulting Muslim immigrants and the Islamic way of life. In reaction to the threat from the left, Muslims responded in ways that are characteristic for people who are on the political right – viscerally. The intensity of this reaction depended on the degree to which Muslims were located to the right of the socio-political spectrum. The Conservative Muslims to the immediate right of center adjusted and lived quietly in segregated communities according to their ethnic ways. Further to the right, the reactionary Muslims were more anxious and disturbed by what they saw happening around them. Having found their place in the stricter ways of Islam, they struggled to rigidly maintain their traditional ways. Sensing the non-Muslim people as a threat to their way of life, they isolated themselves in an effort to fortify their defenses. Many responded with covert hatred toward Westerners. Their reactionary structure led them to passively or actively gravitate toward supporting Islamic extremists.

For the Islamic fascist on the extreme right, secular law of the Islamic State is inseparable from the religious Islamic law. The Islamic fascist’s feelings of hatred are intensified by the perception of Western social weakness and degeneration. According to their ideology, the Muslim World is in a state of perpetual war with infidels world-wide. As a first step in their grand scheme, the jihadists of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) which has been renamed “the Islamic State” want to consolidate their control of the Sunni part of Iraq. They are demanding that jihadist groups world-wide adopt (ISIS)’s hard line and join together in a global war against the infidels.

The ultimate goal of the Islamic Fascist is to destroy all democratic institutions and to unify the Muslim people under one caliphate headed by a political and religious leader who is the successor to Mohammed himself. If this caliphate were ever to become a reality, the lives of Muslim people would be under the total control of this Fascist leader.

On a global scale, the Islamic Fascist on the political extreme right in the Muslim world and the pseudo-liberal/communist on the extreme left in the Western world have as their common goal the destruction of human life. Both are emotional plague characters at the limits of the socio-political spectrum. Although they share the same goal they operate differently. Western leaders on the left sow their hatred based seeds of destruction covertly and act subversively. They debilitate America’s military power and passively undermine it’s stature as the leader of the free world. Their goal is to weaken America internally and, at the same time, to support totalitarian regimes hostile to America politically through diplomatic activity. Islamic Fascist leaders on the right are aggressive and impatient. Their impulsive actions are often detrimental to achieving their goal.

The following table summarizes the far-reaching cultural differences and the basis for the ideological clash between the Western and the Islamic worlds:
Western World Islamic World
Rigidly Anti-authoritarian Rigidly Authoritarian
Emancipation of Women Subjugation of Women
Mainstream to the far Left of Center Mainstream to the far right of Center
Sexual Unsatisfaction Sexual Repression
Welcomes Unrestraint Resists Change

What is Functional Thinking?

Q. What is functional thinking?
A. Functional thinking is thinking according to the way nature functions.
Q. Who discovered functional thinking?
A. Functional thinking was discovered by Wilhelm Reich M.D.
Q. What is the importance of functional thinking?
A, Functional thinking provides a way to integrate all the natural sciences into a unified body of knowledge.
Q. What is the difference between functional thinking and ordinary thinking?
A. Ordinary thinking is either mechanistic or mystical.
Q. What is mechanistic thinking?
A. Mechanistic thinking is thinking about nature as if it were a machine.
Q. What is mystical thinking?
A. Mystical thinking is thinking as if there was a purpose to nature.
Q. What’s wrong with thinking mechanistically and mystically about nature?
A. Since nature does not operate like a machine and since it has no purpose, mechanistic/mystical thinking cannot provide a satisfactory understanding of how nature operates. Furthermore, erroneous mechanistic/mystical thinking often has destructive consequences.
Q. How does mechanistic/mystical thinking work?
A. When mechanistic thinking fails to provide a satisfactory understanding of nature, mystical thinking enters to provide a purpose to what is left to be understood.
Q. What is an example of mechanistic/mystical thinking?
A. An example is the statement: The heart pumps blood in order to bring oxygen to the tissues of The body. First, the heart is compared to a mechanical pump. Then, a purpose is given to explain why the heart pumps blood.
Q. What is the functional understanding of this example?
A. The function of biological pulsation defines the goal of bringing oxygen to the tissues.
Q. Where can I learn more about functional thinking?
A. The American College of Orgonomy gives a course on functional thinking to qualified students.

Environmentalism: The Mystical Collusion Between the Left and the Right

The following is an excerpt from my upcoming book, Clueless:
The emotional plague is a malignant social disease that is highly invasive from person to person and from one social institution to another. Because of the massive shift to the left in people’s thinking not only in the West but worldwide, religious mysticism in the masses – people’s faith in a better afterlife – has been replaced by secular mysticism – people’s longing for a better life in the present, in the here and now. This mystical need on the part of armored human beings gives freedom-peddling ideologists on the left an enormous political advantage.

Religious mystics on the political right, see the handwriting on the wall and realize that if they do not embrace some of the popular political ideas promoted by leftist ideologues soon, they will be left without a power base, their congregation.

In addition to being sympathetic to the world’s poor, an ideologically painless way that religious mystics on the right can become involved in secular matters is by going along with leftists on their political stand on the environment.

The Catholic Church would usually condemn blatant politicization of theological documents such as Pope Francis’ encyclical on May 24, 2015, Laudato si.’ But this time it did not. In his encyclical, he critiques people’s relentless destruction of the environment for which he blamed apathy, reckless pursuit of profit, excessive faith in technology and political shortsightedness. He unambiguously accepts the purportedly scientific consensus that climate change is largely man-made and warns of unprecedented destruction of ecosystems if climate change mitigation efforts are not taken mainly by reducing fossil fuel emissions.

Then, when President Obama announced new Clean Power Plant regulations “to help mitigate climate change” on August 3, some 170 evangelists, pastors, religion professors, non-profit directors and others, sent an open letter to the president “to offer our support and encouragement for your efforts to overcome the climate change.” President Obama responded in true faith healer style: “As Pope Francis made clear in his encyclical last summer, taking a stand against climate change is a moral obligation.”

A College Course in Socio-political Orgonomy

A course will be given to the public by the American College of Orgonomy on the new science of socio-political orgonomy. It will be coordinated by Dr. Edward Chastka and taught by the clinical associates of the College.
Its purpose is to introduce the general public to the sociological discoveries of Wilhelm Reich and Elsworth Baker. Reich’s discovery of the emotional plague and Baker’s discovery of socio-political characterology are the corner stones upon which the course is based. These discoveries are also the foundation of a true science of sociology. The course will focus of the application of this and other knowledge to current social phenomena to provide a clear picture of the events that are currently happening in the world.
The text for the course is Neither Left Nor Right: Preventing America’s Decline into Socialism. The chapters in the book are the subject matter for the course They guide the student in his thinking to move from general sociological ideas and principles to specific social and political problems and issues. In this process the student will be introduced to a new way of thinking called functional thinking. This allows the student to step outside of mechanistic-mystical thinking of the political left and right.
The course will provide the student with a tool of thinking that, if applied by a sufficient number of people, has the potential to oppose and correct the process of social degradation in the world.

What’s Happening in the Middle East?

As I wrote in “Neither Left nor Right,” before there can be a rational way to deal with the political troubles that are currently escalating in the Middle East, there must first be an understanding of Arab societies and their culture. This requires an understanding of tribalism and its relationship to the states in the Middle East.

From a historical perspective, tribal societies existed for millennia in the Middle East long before Arabs began converting to Mohammedanism in the seventh century and long before modern states with their precise boundaries were formed. In many ways these tribal roots are deeper than the Arab’s religious and political beliefs and they determine their behavior to a far greater extent. Tribal loyalties in the Middle East cut across the national boundaries that were arbitrarily laid down by England and France during the early part of the twentieth century. Furthermore, from a characterological perspective, Arabs belong in various degrees to the far right of the political center. These are important but frequently overlooked considerations at a time when America is struggling to work out a diplomatic resolution to the conflicts in that region.

As in the case of a medical disease there must first be an understanding of the disease before a rational treatment can be instituted. Symptomatic measures without knowledge of the underlying pathology are guaranteed to fail.

Putin’s Land Grab

Whenever an acute  social problem surfaces requiring immediate attention people always focus on the symptoms, never on the underlying disease.  Putin’s grabbing Crimea is a symptom. The underlying emotional  sickness of human beings that made this act of aggression possible is the disease that is always overlooked.

The following, in brief, is the symptom: As a result of it’s anti-authoritarian transformation, Western countries including Russia are socially disintegrating. Faced with this problem, a strong leader like Putin moves to the political right to take control of the social chaos in his country. He also quickly sizes up Barack Obama the leader of the Western World as a weak and politically ineffectual individual. To further consolidate his power, he decides to take an aggressive international action and seizes Crimea.

Part of the underlying disease is the social disintegration of Russian Society that needs to be controlled. Another part is that the same process of social disintegration to a far greater extent is happening in America. However, America’s social sickness is aggravated by having elected a President who has proven himself to be unable to take an aggressive stand to protect America’s interests in any area, either domestically and internationally.

The deepest level of humanity’s disease is that the American public does not see that they have elected a man who is to a large extent responsible for bringing about this international crisis and the destructive consequences that will follow. The American public’s cluelessness is the central problem.

Obamas’ Love Affaire With Iranian Islamo-fascists

Why on earth is Barack Obama courting Iran to negotiate about it’s plans to develop nuclear capabilities since there is nothing in this venture of his to be gained  for America?

On the surface it simply appears to be a narcissistic attempt on Obama’s part to make himself look good politically on the international scene and to bring up his declining political ratings.

On a deeper, characterological level it is an expression of the emotional plague character’s  attraction from the political left and the political right for one another. Obama, on the political left and individuals in the Iranian fascist regime on the political right share the same goal: to bring America down and to have the world under their control. It is expedient for emotional plague characters on the political left and the right to temporarily  join forces to achieve their common goal. (Remember the Hitler-Stalin Non-Aggression Pact of 1939.) Once they have succeeded in this collaboration, they will, once again, go their separate ways to control and destroy the entire free world.

From “Political Science” To A Science Of Politics

Politics today consists of a confused mixture of irrational and rational human ideas and drives.  This hodgepodge is erroneously called ” political science.”   However, it is now possible with our political knowledge of orgonomic sociology to have a genuine science of politics.  There are two requirements that must be fulfilled for this to happen: 1) A capacity to think functionally about natural, including political, processes. 2) An in-depth knowledge of socio-political characterology including an understanding of the emotional plague of mankind and the effect that people’s various socio-political character types have on social processes. These requirements are necessary to separate the rational function of politics from the irrationality and the widespread destructiveness of socio-politics.
