Problems With Marijuana

The central question that is never asked regarding marijuana is this: What is the origin of the powerful political force behind the movement to legalize it? Asking this obvious question allows the answer to come to the surface: Marijuana helps the user to be as comfortable as possible in a state of emotional cluelessness.
The destructiveness of marijuana on human life requires a bio-psychiatric understanding of the distinction between emotions and sensations and the drug’s effect on them. Marijuana selectively blocks the perception of emotions but not the perception of sensations. This is how the drug puts the user in a chronic state of emotional cluelessness. As a result, the user is relieved of experiencing anxiety and other painfully disturbing emotions. This selective numbing effect of emotions gives rise to the popular misconception that marijuana is just a recreational drug and is not harmful to health. In fact, it’s effect to eliminate the emotional life of the user is exactly why it is so destructive to human life and in such great demand. Since marijuana kills emotions, it’s use and political advocacy is in the service of the emotional plague.
Popularizing the myth that marijuana is harmless, or replacing marijuana with a more “scientific” term, cannabis, is an evasion. it sidesteps the destructive emotional and social consequences that center around the universal disturbance of human sexuality that make mind-numbing drugs in such great demand. This is the underlying reason that people resort to all sorts of substitutes including marijuana.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, The American College of Orgonomy (ACO) is sponsoring a forum on marijuana at the Rutgers University Conference Center in New Brunswick, N.J. For those interested in attending call the ACO (732) 821-1144 or visit http://www.orgonomy.org

The Emotional Plague in Everyday Life

The title of this blog will be the same as that for a regular column in the Journal of Orgonomy starting with the Volume 51, Number 1 issue. The readers are invited to submit accounts of the plague from their own lives for the column. Here is an example of what will be included:

The essential characteristic of the emotional plague is that action and the reason given for it are never congruent. The underlying motive is always covered up and replaced by an apparent motive. An example is President Trump’s zero tolerance policy for illegal border crossings that has provoked a hysterical reaction from the political left. The apparent motive given for the reaction is that it would require separation of parents and children at the border. However, the hysteria behind their reaction is entirely bogus. The policy of separating children and parents is not new. It has been the policy of past administrations as well. Moreover, there has never been hysteria from the left when children are separated from parents as a result of their arrests and convictions for crimes. Therefore, the true motive for the hysteria must be to force open borders on the nation under the guise of compassion for children.

The political right attempts to address this and similar outbreaks of the plague in a rational manner. Without recognizing this reaction from the political left as an expression of a human disease, destructive emotional plague reaction’s such as this one will continue unrecognized and unopposed.

“Never do it the political way!”

These were Wilhelm Reich’s words regarding past attempts to improve social conditions through politics. He continues:

“People will get very enthusiastic about it. They will glow. They will burn for you. But their structures won’t follow. Their character structures can’t follow. Then you are in trouble… This discrepancy between what a human being wants, what he dreams of, what he intellectually understands as true and good and what he actually can do, i.e., what his structure, the character structure, really permits him to do, is quite a problem…It is also the gap where religion comes in with the idea of paradise.”

Today, in our anti-authoritarian society, people are being deprived of their illusory hopes in religion as it is being replaced by the a secularized, intellectualized version of it in the form of socio-politics. They are losing whatever contact that they had with themselves at the time when their emotions were tied in to their personal and religious beliefs. Today, people are more out of touch with themselves and their world than they were in the past authoritarian era.

Now more than ever, a functional understanding of what is happening to our society is vital to prevent further degradation. This knowledge is being made available through a lecture series on Social Orgonomy open to the public given by the American College of Orgonomy.

The Politicization of Immigration

The exacerbation of America’s immigration problem is not only about immigration but, more importantly, about the American left’s undisguised hatred of Donald Trump and his authoritative, pro-American policies.

The left has blatant disrespect for Trump’s presidential authority and the laws of our land. At the same time, the masses of immigrants are encouraged by their leaders (with the help of American legal council) to believe that they have the right to immigrate and reap the enormous benefits such as medical, housing, education, welfare that bonafide American citizens have despite their illegal status.

In the past authoritarian era (prior to around 1960) it was considered a privilege to be accepted as an immigrant by the American immigration system. The right of passage to legal citizenship was treated with mutual respect and dignity by both parties. In today’s far-left oriented anti-authoritarian social order, entrance to America is almost considered a birthright for someone from any part of the world. For the leftists, there is little reason for there to be legal obstacles that prevent someone from entering and living in America without going through the legal process required by immigration law. This attitude masks an expression of contempt and disrespect for the American system of law. It’s blind acceptance by the mainstream media is an indication of how far society has shifted to the political left in recent decades.

The confusion generated by the left regarding the immigration problem is another destructive consequence of the emotional plague’s massive infiltration into American society through the destructive force of socio-politics. The goal of the political left is to destroy the Trump presidency by opposing each and every one of his policies regardless of their merit including those on immigration. In addition, the goal of the emotional plague carrier on the political left is to destroy America by eliminating it’s borders and rendering it defenseless against it’s potential enemies. Without first recognizing the existence and operation of the plague in the immigration problem and addressing it’s pathological symptoms as a true bio-social disease, the immigration problem can only worsen.

Bravo, President Trump

Congratulations President Trump for having the courage to single-handedly face the vicious antipathy that the political left has for you and your administration. Facing the left head-on exposes them for who they really are. Their hatred is based on the outward turning of their self-loathing and personal feelings of guilt onto others less fortunate, those they have been “chosen” to save. You are effectively confronting the left and preventing them from getting away with their delusional thinking and pretended “holier than thou” facade that covers their true feelings.

Why is Trump Viciously Hated by the Far Left?

When Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election in 2016, her supporters on the left were in a state of emotional shock and disbelief. With eight years of the Obama administration behind them, their timetable of what they had planned for America’s future was almost a reality and now that illusion was shattered, at least temporarily. They soon recovered their senses, reorganized and directed their attacks on Donald Trump for what he stands for, a strong authority that wants to protect America from the anti-authoritarian left’s progressively destructive agenda.
Are All People on the political left anti-authoritarian?
No. People to the left of the political center are true liberals. In distinction to the pseudo-liberal/communists who are farther to the left, the true liberal stands for individual authority, has physical aggression at his disposal and is pro-American. However, because of less contact with his biological core the true liberal is blinded to the destructiveness of those who are on the extreme left and becomes their handmaidens. True liberals are Lenin’s “useful idiots”.This distinction between the true liberal and the pseudo-liberal/communist requires an understanding of socio-political characterology necessary if any sense is to be made of social processes and political events.

What is Social Orgonomy?

Social orgonomy is the application of functional thinking to social processes.

What is the difference between medical orgonomy and social orgonomy?
Medical orgonomy deals with the destructive effects of armored society on the individual. Social orgonomy deals with the destructive effects of the individual on society.

What are the functions that constitute social orgonomy?
The functions are, the layering of the bio-psychic apparatus, the emotional plague, people’s socio-political character and the anti-authoritarian transformation of Western Society.

How do people currently think about social processes?
People generally think along the different lines of the political forces left and the right. These forces operate together in a destructive fashion which is partisan politics. Because there is no contact between them, nothing can be resolved.

What are these ways of thinking called?
They consist of the opposing forces and views of mechanistic and mystical armored thought.

Why can’t mechanistic mysticism be applied to an understanding of social processes?
These forms of thought do not correspond to the way social processes function and, as a result, they are bound to result in endless, political battles that are destructive to the Nation. They are the result of politically minded people and politicians displacing social problems onto the political arena. This is socio-politics. They are not concened with the proper function of politics.

What is lacking in the application of mechanistic-mysticism to social processes?
An understanding of motive forces behind all human activity, the emotional function in general and the emotional plague in particular.

Should Marijuana be Legalized?

The destructiveness of marijuana on human life requires a bio-psychiatric understanding of the distinction between emotions and sensations and the drug’s effect on them. Marijuana selectively blocks the perception of emotions but not the perception of sensations. This is how the drug puts the user in a chronic state of emotional cluelessness. As a result, the user is relieved of experiencing anxiety and other painfully disturbing emotions. This selective numbing effect of emotions gives rise to the popular misconception that marijuana a just a recreational drug and is not harmful to health. In fact, it’s effect is to eliminate the emotional life of the user and is exactly why it is so destructive to human life.
Popularizing the myth that marijuana is harmless sidesteps the underlying emotional and social consequences that centers around the universal disturbance of human sexuality, the conflict resulting from the adolescent’s sexual push meeting their armor in today’s anti-authoritarian social order. The conflict results in the widespread sexual dissatisfaction and social disruption that we are increasingly seeing in people today. It is the underlying reason that people resort to drugs including marijuana.
This combined with the widespread public misinformation in the world about the sexual function itself, it is not possible for any young person today to have any genuine guidance about the sexual problems in his personal life. This widespread ignorance on the part of the general public exacerbates people’s sexually based misery and contributes to their need to find ways on their own to alleviate their suffering. By deadening emotions, marijuana puts an end to the users sexual misery and provides him with a substitute existence that is free of emotional pain. But the drug does this at the cost of cutting the person off from having emotional contact with his biological core. This problem is the underlying, unstated reason that drives a large segment of the public and legislators to promote the legalization on marijuana. It is a manifestation of the emotional plague.
Evasion and ignorance of the sexual origin of the marijuana and other drug related problems keeps people from effectively addressing them. It turns marijuana into a political sideshow – another symptom of the emotional plague.
The exacerbation of the marijuana problem is another manifestation of our anti-authoritarian social order. The drug puts the user in a state of emotional cluelessness in his relationships with important people in his life including those in authority. It puts the user in an anxiety-free state of laid- back, complacency and renders him vulnerable when dangerous situations arise. Cut off from his emotions, and clueless about the many destructive events that are happening around him, he is left at the mercy of his intellect to survive.
To add to the confusion, the highly destructive medical and psychiatric side-effects of the drug are consistently ignored by the public and the media.
The forces of the emotional plague are actively agitating to have this highly destructive substance legalized so that it can be readily available to the public. A sure-fire indication that the emotional plague is operative in this battle on legalization of marijuana is that “you’re damned if you oppose it and you’re damned if you don’t.” No matter what decision is made about the marijuana problem, the person is left feeling stymied. If the drug is not legalized, a huge black market is created with all the potential social and criminal consequences. If it is legalized, a message is sent out that it is harmless and should be made available in the free market. In the former course, society is functioning in an authoritarian manner resulting in the predictable rebelliousness of leftist-indoctrinated young people. In the latter course, society is functioning in an anti-authoritarian manner and neglecting the rational guidance and education that people sorely need about the harmfulness of this substance.

What is Happening With President Trump? Round Two.

To explain Trump’s post-election behavior as president requires an understanding of his individual character structure. Displaying the features of a phallic narcissistic character with an oral unsatisfied block, he functioned in the business world as a highly successful businessman. As a business leader he was used to being top dog and playing by his own rules. He was able to act aggressively and get things done in the world of business.
However, in his new, unfamiliar world of partisan politics, he is not in charge of his environment in the way he was at home in business. He has difficulty playing by the new rules of politics and getting his political agenda off the ground. In addition, because he is touchy, he becomes frustrated and plays into the hands of his opponents by reacting in a defensive manner when his policies are threatened.
This is a typical feature of people with his character type. His high energy, phallic narcissistic structure leads him to react defensively with poorly directed aggressive attacks blaming others for things gone wrong. Additionally, his oral unsatisfied block leads to loose talking and his defensive whining and complaining like a big baby about how poorly he is being treated by his critics. These self-destructive displays of bad behavior do no credit to him, the presidency or to the nation.

The Function of the U.S. Constitution

The following excerpt is from my forthcoming book, “Clueless”

“The U.S. Constitution was written in 1787 by some of the finest minds that the world had to offer. It’s function was to protect the life of the American people against the destructive forces contained within them. Thus, even without knowledge of human armor, the writers were aware of the existence and the destructive consequences of the emotional plague. It was expected that future generations would retain and develop it’s fundamental principles when new understanding of human life became available.

However, the required knowledge of biological functions was not forthcoming until almost 200 years later with the sciences of biological and social orgonomy. Meanwhile, the gap in the Constitution’s understanding of human life functioned as a block. It’s interpretation and the meaning of it’s wisdom were placed in the hands of the general public. Based on differences in their character structure, their perspectives differed. Today, people still continue to be divided about the interpretation of the document when problems of governance arise that need to be settled. On one hand are the Originalists who interpret the Constitution verbatim as stable from the time of it’s enactment. On the other, are those who view it as a flexible document that can be interpreted differently depending on the whims of the individual and on social circumstances.

Now, for the first time in it’s history, the Constitution and the amendments to it in the Bill of Rights can be understood functionally from the perspective of social orgonomy (see chapter 3) Applying this knowledge to the Constitution helps to provide the document with a unified, natural scientific basis for governance.”
