The Music Industry’s Role in the Anti-authoritarian Transformation

The following is an exert from my upcoming book, “Clueless”:
The music industry in America was a factor in exacerbating the anti-authoritarian transformation. When “Rock Around the Clock” was released in 1954, the song was not considered of any importance. However, when it was coupled with the film,”Blackboard Jungle,” in March 1955, about the looming peril of juvenile delinquency in the nation’s schools, it became an instant hit. Many teenage moviegoers danced in theater aisles to “Rock Around the Clock.” The song marked the beginning of a new genre of music that championed teenage rebellion against parents and other authority figures.
The young peoples’ emotions were commercially exploited by the entertainment industry and marketed to them for huge profits. In sixty years, popular music and television shows catering to young people have developed into a multi-billion dollar industry.
Siding with teens in their struggle against their parents and teachers may be good for business but it is highly destructive to the emotional lives of young people. The entertainment industry continues to exploit and excite the senses of these people beyond their natural tolerance level and by so doing increases their level of cluelessness to what is happening around them. This over-excitation further destabilizes what is left of authoritarian social armor and weakens the structure and guidelines contained in traditional social institutions like the family.

Greece’s Financial Crisis

The futility of applying political solutions to socioeconomic problems is discussed in my current book, Neither Left Nor Right. It is illustrated in the current economic crisis in Greece which is the result of the government’s spending more money than it had and incurring a national debt of billions of euros.
The Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipris, called for a referendum on the creditors’ demands for more austerity in exchange for more bailout funds to keep the country solvent by putting the problem in the hands of the people. By doing so, he neatly stepped out of facing the problem head on. The public’s debate over this single question has swept the country down ideological and socioeconomic lines. For some, Greece’s identity as a fully developed European country is at stake. For others, the vote is a chance to stand up to Europe. The Greek people and their politicians seem to have learned nothing about the importance of fiscal responsibility.

Ebola and ISIS

According to conventional thinking, Ebola and ISIS are entirely different pathological conditions that exist in different realms of nature. Although they operate in different realms, Ebola in the biological realm and ISIS in the social realm, they have a great deal in common. They are both highly destructive to life, they are highly invasive, they are infectious, they operate from a place of hiding, their victims are highly vulnerable to the pathogen, and lastly, the only treatment is sequestration of the pathogen and/or the carrier.
Thanks to advances in virology the pathogenic agent responsible for the Ebola virus has been identified. Therefore, an antiviral drug will hopefully become available soon. Unfortunately, the pathological condition responsible for the disease, ISIS, still remains to be identified by the medical establishment. Since it is not known how the disease arises, there is currently no known treatment except by destroying the organization. But this will not prevent other ISIS’s from sprouting up at any time.
This is because the disease, ISIS, is endemic in everyone, particularly in the hordes of displaced, sexually repressed Muslim youth who have no other outlet for their frustrated emotions than to turn their hatred outward against the world and murder innocent people.
The disease, ISIS, is just another manifestation of a condition that Wilhelm Reich identified as the emotional plague of mankind. Like Ebola, ISIS is a highly malignant, invasive disease that is carried by infected humans. Like Ebola, it must be recognized and addressed as such before it can be contained.

The Development of Ocular Armor in Infants

In an article published in the October 6 issue of Biological Psychiatry, researchers found that infants who had poor eye contact with the mother had higher “callous-emotional” traits. “These traits include problems recognizing emotions of others, impairment in responding to distress of others, and impaired guilt or empathy.” These traits are hypothesized to be precursors of anti-social behavior found in psychopathic adults.

We know from medical orgonomy that the syndrome of callous-emotional traits described by the authors is a result of disturbances of mother-infant eye contact.
Clinical experience with patients in Medical Orgone Therapy shows that disturbances in eye contact at this early stage of development are one of many consequences of ocular armor that can develop at that time and that these can have destructive behavioral and social effects not only in infancy and childhood but throughout the individual’s life.

A College Course in Socio-political Orgonomy

A course will be given to the public by the American College of Orgonomy on the new science of socio-political orgonomy. It will be coordinated by Dr. Edward Chastka and taught by the clinical associates of the College.
Its purpose is to introduce the general public to the sociological discoveries of Wilhelm Reich and Elsworth Baker. Reich’s discovery of the emotional plague and Baker’s discovery of socio-political characterology are the corner stones upon which the course is based. These discoveries are also the foundation of a true science of sociology. The course will focus of the application of this and other knowledge to current social phenomena to provide a clear picture of the events that are currently happening in the world.
The text for the course is Neither Left Nor Right: Preventing America’s Decline into Socialism. The chapters in the book are the subject matter for the course They guide the student in his thinking to move from general sociological ideas and principles to specific social and political problems and issues. In this process the student will be introduced to a new way of thinking called functional thinking. This allows the student to step outside of mechanistic-mystical thinking of the political left and right.
The course will provide the student with a tool of thinking that, if applied by a sufficient number of people, has the potential to oppose and correct the process of social degradation in the world.

The Organization of Black Fascist States

Before Black Fascist (Islamo-fascist) states can be properly treated it must be known how they originate. With our knowledge of what is currently happening in the Middle East and armed with the knowledge of socio-political characterology, it is possible to understand how Black Fascist states can appear seemingly out of nowhere and how the plague can organize politically and become epidemic.
The following social conditions are necessary:
1) The existing social order is authoritarian and strongly sex-negative.
2) The government in power is weak and vulnerable. Living conditions are desperate with broken families due to war, human suffering, uncertain working opportunities and high levels of anxiety exist in the population.
3) The unstable social conditions are the breeding ground for high energy, sexually frustrated young men to turn their dissatisfaction outward and look for some higher social cause to find meaning in their lives.
4) The charismatic Black Fascist leader is there to provide the cause that these young men are looking for. The leader directs the young people’s pent-up sexual frustrations into murderous ideological hatred of people living in the non-Muslim world.
The fascist state is organized on the authoritarian principle of fear and intimidation. The followers are loyal to the Islamic cause and go along with its destructive political agenda out of blind obedience to the Leaders wishes. The members owe their allegiance to the one who is the most feared, cruel and powerfully committed fanatic, the representative of God on earth. He is the group’s mystical leader, the feared authoritarian father with whom all other members must identify as terrorists and killers.
When the group becomes sufficiently organized into a religious state, the majority of non-violent Muslims will be forced to passively go along with the states authoritarian, life-negative laws out of fear for their lives.

Understanding The Function of Terrorists and Terrorism

America is in a state of undeclared war with Islamo-fascist fanatics in the Middle East. The war is being waged on two fronts, militarily and ideologically. To understand the ideological war, it is necessary to have knowledge of socio-political characterology and of the emotional plague. Terrorists are Islamo-fascists belonging to the extreme right of the socio-political spectrum. The zealous fascist with his mystical reactionary belief system represents the ultimate in destructive rebelliousness. Terrorism is a manifestation of the emotional plague and it functions by paralyzing and immobilizing its victims through a frightening demeanor, terrifying threats and horrific acts of terror.
Those who are most terrified and likely to be terrorized are the liberal and other leftist characters in the Free World who, because of their pre-existing characterologically-based fear of forceful aggression, will use their rational powers to justify doing nothing and remaining helplessly immobilized at this critical time.
They are behaving in the exact same manner today as they did in England in the 1930s when Hitler was doing the same thing in Europe.

Chastising Obama Is Not The Answer

In the August 2-3 2014 issue of the Wall Street Journal “Out of Many, Two?,” Peggy Noonan writes: “The president shouldn’t be using a fateful and divisive word like “impeachment” to raise money and rouse his base. He shouldn’t be at campaign-type rallies where he speaks only to his base, he should be speaking to the country. He shouldn’t be out there dropping his g’s. slouching around a podium. complaining about his ill treatment, describing his opposition with disdain: Stop just hat’in all the time.”

But what if this is exactly how Obama feels and what he wants to do? The thought is too horrible and unbelievable for most people even to imagine. The question goes directly to Obama’s socio-political character structure, without an understanding of which, nothing can make sense. Noonan does not see the significance of the contempt toward America in Obama’s behavior. She does not see that she is hated by Obama and the entire anti-authoritarian mainstream exactly because she is associated with the past authoritarian social order. Reasoning with them is not possible because it does not stop the hate. It intensifies the divisiveness and is a political dead end.

Are All Arabs The Same?

There is currently widespread confusion regarding how Arabs are to be viewed. The simple answer is that there are two kinds of Arabs, those that have a live and let live attitude and those who identify themselves as political Muslims and have their allegiance to Islam. The former group knows the distinction between religion and the state. The latter group identifies the Muslim religion with the state and believes that it must expand and conquer the world by killing all nonbelievers if necessary.

The question brings up the importance of understanding socio-political characterology without which it is not possible to make any sense of what is happening with Arabs in the Middle East and in America. Because of their strong tribal roots and their strict authoritarian upbringing, most Arabs belong in varying degrees on the right of the socio-political spectrum. Beginning with the conservative Arab to the immediate right of center, there is the extreme conservative followed by the reactionary and finally the Islamo-fascist on the extreme right.

As we proceed from the right of center to the extreme right, the Arab’s social functioning becomes rigidified and cut off from all contact with corrupting Western influences. The separation between secular and religious law becomes increasingly blurred and the individual’s work and sexual functioning becomes more restricted. His ability to assimilate into Western ways becomes more difficult as his need to have Allah be responsible for his life reveals his underlying emotional and economic helplessness. The Islamo-fascist who says ” I love death more than life” is his way of expressing his total emotional intolerance of the freedom that there is to be had in Western democratic societies.  Seeing it as degenerate, he is sympathetic to other Arabs who want to destroy it. For him, secular ideology and religious moral law are one and the same.

The Islamo-fascist is an emotional plague character on the political extreme right. Here are some of the favorite slogans used by these ideologues to disarm America: “Islam has always been a part of America,” “Islam is not part of the problem  in combating extremism – it is an important part in promoting peace,” “Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.” These statements are effective because they all have a grain of truth in them and that is all it takes for liberal-minded Americans to give them the benefit of doubt.

However, the Islamo-fascist has no contact with his biological core. Cut off from his natural sexual feelings, he operates entirely from his secondary destructive layer and his ideology originates from it. The following are some examples: “All people are born Muslim and start off as pure but they become corrupted by living in a world of infidels. It is the duty of all good Muslims to bring them back to the ways of the Prophet.” “The world including most Muslim societies are in a state of racial impurity and it is our holy duty to cleanse it.”

According to Reich, “The ideology …of purity is the ideology of asexuality, of ‘sexual purity.’  it is, basically, a result of patriarchal authoritarian sexual suppression and sexual anxiety… the core of fascist race theory is a mortal terror of natural sexuality and its orgasm function.”

We can add that, in the case of Islamic race ideology and in contrast to the purity of Muslims, infidels including all Westerners are equated with racially impure, unchaste people.  Reich continues: “With the development of distorted, lascivious, sexual structures, patriarchal man became enmeshed in an ideology in which ‘sexual’ becomes inextricably associated with ‘filthy,’ ‘low,’demoniacal’.”

As the level of  emotional zeal of Islamists becomes more revolutionary, their ideology becomes more reactionary. There is a new wave of extremists who believe that a pure State of Islam must be instituted not gradually through social consensus but swiftly by military force. With the social turmoil in the Middle East there is a flood of sexually frustrated, displaced and disillusioned youth who are ready and willing to embrace Allah’s cause.

The American people’s general state of complacency and confusion regarding Arabs is exacerbated because the political mainstream is far to  the left of center. Liberals and other political leftists are strongly defended against perceiving their own destructive secondary layer. Therefore, for them, evil does not exist in others even when it is staring them in the face.

What’s Happening in the Middle East?

As I wrote in “Neither Left nor Right,” before there can be a rational way to deal with the political troubles that are currently escalating in the Middle East, there must first be an understanding of Arab societies and their culture. This requires an understanding of tribalism and its relationship to the states in the Middle East.

From a historical perspective, tribal societies existed for millennia in the Middle East long before Arabs began converting to Mohammedanism in the seventh century and long before modern states with their precise boundaries were formed. In many ways these tribal roots are deeper than the Arab’s religious and political beliefs and they determine their behavior to a far greater extent. Tribal loyalties in the Middle East cut across the national boundaries that were arbitrarily laid down by England and France during the early part of the twentieth century. Furthermore, from a characterological perspective, Arabs belong in various degrees to the far right of the political center. These are important but frequently overlooked considerations at a time when America is struggling to work out a diplomatic resolution to the conflicts in that region.

As in the case of a medical disease there must first be an understanding of the disease before a rational treatment can be instituted. Symptomatic measures without knowledge of the underlying pathology are guaranteed to fail.
